DEFECTS COVER

If you are in the unfortunate position of having a problem with your new Park Home the action you take will depend upon the section of your Platinum Seal Warranty that currently applies.

To find out which sections of cover currently apply please refer to your Warranty Agreement and Insurance Certificate.

Full details of your cover can be found by reading your Certificate Of Insurance in conjunction with your Warranty Agreement.

DEFECTS COVER IN YOUR FIRST YEARS COVER

Your manufacturer is responsible for all structural and non structural defects to your park home in the first 12 months from the date it was dispatched from them. Identify any defects to your home, its appliances, and furnishings and make a list and notify your manufacturer.

Insolvency Cover

If your manufacturer is no longer trading and you have insolvency cover as part of your cover, we will rectify any ‘structural defect’ only that is identified during your first year’s cover.

STRUCTURAL COVER YOUR SECOND YEAR’S COVER

Your manufacturer is responsible for all structural defects to your home in the second year of cover from the date your park home was dispatched from them. Identify any structural defects to your home, and notify your manufacturer immediately

Insolvency Cover

If your manufacturer is no longer trading and you have insolvency cover as part of your cover, we will rectify any ‘structural defect’ only that is identified during your first year’s cover.

STRUCTURAL COVER IN THE PERIOD OF YEARS 3-10

Full details of your cover is contained within your Certificate of Insurance and policy document or warranty agreement.

It is important to note that this section of the policy will not cover non-structural issues such as gutters, central heating, internal plaster finishing, fixtures and fittings etc. If you have such damage it may be more appropriate to contact your park home insurer.
